Tiger Mountain 22/04/2010, A friend drifts with a thermal too far back and finds himself quickly sinking into the lee side of the mountain as he is unable to penetrate forward

the video does not show the three sets of power lines that stretch thru the area, the pilot opted to hit the fence rather than power lines

While the landing is the end result of this situation and perhaps could have been done more gracefully i find that we can also note some additional aspects of the video that relate to flying technic

Throughout the flight the pilot’s general hand position is too high, which prevents him from actively flying the wing by monitoring the brake pressure.  While he was able to recover from the collapse in 5:01 - 5:05 the video shows that the left side of the wing was allowed to surge too far forward which caused the left side to frontal 5:04

perhaps the collapse recovery is due mostly to the DHV1 wing design (Gin Bolero Plus) as we observe the pilot holding on to the risers 5:05 - 5:15

יש קו מתח שחוצה את המיתחם באלכסון,לא פשוט ובטח לטייס שנימצא בלחץ מסוים כמו שהבחור היה ,לתכנן נחיתה מושלמת,(יש ממב שהוא ראה את קו המתח בשלב מאוחר מידי)בעיקר כשהאויר ממש לא רגוע,ומעורבל שגורם לו לשינויי גובה לא מתוכננים.(זו לא נחיתה בצומת השבילים בגילבוע),
כמובן שעדיף היה לא להגיע לשם.ואם אתם כבר שם תביטו טוב טוב על האיזור שבו אתם מתכננים לינחות ושימו לב לפרטים .
