Only a year after the distance record set in Brazil, Nevil Hulett from South Africa managed to beat it and cross the barrier of the 500km on a Macpara Magus 6 paraglider. He also broke the declared distance record with 404 kms. For this incredible flight, Hulett took off from Copperton in De Aar (SA) yesterday Sunday 14 of December at 11:32. With a forecast of 32km/h of wind, he covered the distance in seven hours and a half, with an average speed of 65 km/h, and landed some twenty km passed the border in Lesotho.
