Four out of 32 pilots competing in the 2011 Red Bull X-Alps will fly a NOVA paraglider. The world’s most prestigious paragliding competition starts in Salzburg (Austria) and leads non-stop to Monaco along a majority of the Alps. The athletes are allowed to either fly or hike while carrying all their gear on their back.
Only 32 elite pilots have been selected by Red Bull to participate, and therefore we are really proud that four have decided to fly NOVA wings. Of these four, Max Fanderl (Canada) and Masayuki Matsubara (Japan) have participated before, while Steve Nash (UK) and Martin Romero (Argentina) are rookies to the X-Alps.
