Dear Teddy
On June 26-27 we plan to organize in Tbilisi Georgian Paragliding Air Festival, followed by fly day in Gudauri. We'll be glad to see some of pilots from Israel on the Festival.
The Air Festival is supported by GTZ (German Foundation) and the Ministry of Environment Protection and Natural Resources of Georgia.
What we can offer: We could cover the expences of two pilots - accomodation, meals (3x per day) and transportation (including transport from Airport to Hotel). All costs covered for the period of June 25 - June 29. (we are able to cover all costs excluding airtickets).
We would appreciate if you could send two experienced pilots (prefarably one male and one female, as there will be different prize categories for man and women).
The plan of the Air Festival is as follows:
25 June - Arrival (early morning)
26-27 June - Festival
27 June - rewarding ceremony, restraunt.
The event will take place on the mouintains nearby Tbilisi (20 kilometers far). The Festival does not aim to have difficult competition tasks, it will be rather friendly flying event with easy tasks, but on June 28 and June 29 only for the experienced pilots we plan to organize a fly day in Gudauri - It is a Ski Resourt about 100 km far from Tbilisi, Take off place - 2500 meters, moutains around Gudauri are above 3000 meters high.
The visiting pilots will be offered full board accomodation, meals, transportation and maps in Gudauri trip as well. The Gudauri event will not be a competition but an interesting and difficult fly day.
The pilots will need to bring their own personal flight equipment. Please, be aware that in case of two visiting pilots they need to bring three radio devices (so that, if the brought radio equipment is not comparable with the system we have here, we will be sure that the third one will be for a land control).
I hope, that you will be able to accept this belayted invitation.
With best regards,
Irakli Kapanadze
