Hi all, I fly in the Seattle area...
Our main site (Tiger Mountain) has trees that average 13+ meters in height.
On a typical year we have 5 tree incidents usually 2 of them will require a professional tree climber to

the pilot down. Most pilots fly without a tree kit, it’s not required and with the trees being so tall you really want someone professional to come get you and your wing out of the tree. Pilots that perform back country XC usually carry a tree kit around here
the rest of us keep a bottle of whiskey and a 400$ check for the tree guy to come get us... might as well enjoy the view and stay warm while you are hanging.

, the news people send 3 helicopters to film us every time someone hits the trees.
